Massive H2 fuel production by water electrolysis is an essential technology for a future sustainable society. In this study, we report a simple electrochemical deposition (ED) method to produce highly active Fe-doped Ni hydroxide electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reactions (OER). The established key parameters, Fe/Ni ratio of precursor solutions and ED duration, are beneficial to develop a cost-effective route to large-scale production of an optimized Fe/Ni-based catalyst.
