Abstract
Prospective SUAVe-Study (Small unruptured aneurysms Verification) validated to be compatible with the controversy about the unexpectedly low annual rupture rate of 0.05% for aneurysms smaller than 10mm in diameter with no SAH from the ISUIA in 1998 and the large proportion of ruptured aneurysms encountered by neurosurgeons that are smaller than 10mm in diameter. Small unruptured aneurysms were unexpectedly discovered to have a very low rupture rate, because the majority of the small ruptured aneurysms exist a short time from their occurrence until rupture. From these results, our guideline states that a single aneurysm smaller than 5〜7mm in diameter should be very cautiously treated.
