Abstract
We report a patient with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) complicated by multiple intracranial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). A 19-year-old male developed convulsions due to subcortical bleeding in the left frontal region. MRI and DSA showed multiple AVMs. In addition, multiple pulmonary arteriovenous fistula and telangiectatic eruptions were observed. The AVMs resection was performed following the treatment of Right-to-left shunts by embolization of the pulmonary arteriovenous fistula. Since AVM due to HHT differs from other types of AVM in terms of characteristics and pathogenesis, their differentiation for treatment is necessary.
