Abstract
Angiosarcoma of the scalp is a highly aggressive tumor which is difficult to treat with surgery alone and predominantly affects the elderly. We report the case of an elderly patient who had repeated bleeding of the scalp which was caused by an angiosarcoma. A wide excision with an adequate skin graft was able to control the local symptoms. Surgical excision and reconstruction is clearly an effective treatment for a local relapse and has played a role in improvement of the general condition of the elderly patient. The treatment is a useful one for elderly patients with scalp angiosarcoma.
