Manometric Assessment of the Development of Post Operative Continence in High Type of Imperforate Anus

Abstract

Befor 5 years. measurements of Reflex Profile have been on a series of 57 children (3-20 years) oprated upon for imperforate anus high type and 24 normal children. Continence of 57 cases was 24 cases of normal continence, 14 cases of constipation and 19 cases of incontinence.
At present after 5 years, about 50% of constiption and incontinence cases improved on post operative continence.
The purpose of this study was to manometric assessment on the development of postoperative continence in hihg type of imperforate anus.
