Abstract
A 76-year-old woman complaining of left upper abdominal pain was referred to our hospital following detection of pseudokidney signs of colon tumor on abdominal ultrasound examination. Colonofiberscopy showed circumferential narrowing in the descending colon. Biopsy from the tumor showed malignant lymphoma. Computed tomography showed a huge tumor of the descending colon and retroperitoneal lymph node swelling. Left colectomy was performed. Histopathological diagnosis was maligant lymphoma, difuse large B cell type.
VEPA therapy was started on the 60th postoperative day but no effects were demonstrated after 3 courses of the therapy. Recurrence occurred in the retroperitoneal lymph node and the patient died on the 145th after the operation.
