Abstract
The steel piles used at the vicinity of electric railways are subject to corrosion by the stray current. The equation to calculate the potential gradient between the railway and underground cables or pipelines protected by electric drainage system, was shown, and then estimation of the electric corrosion rate and preventive measures for the corrosion of steel piles in such a field were discussed.
