Abstract
Among hexadecylamines-inhibitors (or octadecyla mines) effective ones could be found when they were made by reacting 1mol. of amines with 2 or 3 mols. of acids. We have tested various corrosion inhibitors. both in sea water and in acidic solution, which consist of n-hexadecylamines and various fatty acids. When those were C8-C12 straight chain acids or unsaturated C18 ones, best inhibition could be expected.
