Estimation of resistance to remote earth is one of the most troublesome and uncertain problems in the design of cathodic protection. The author intended to get the practical formulae by experiments, and found that it can be expressed with the equation R=(ρ/L)/⋅f1⋅f2⋅f3⋅f4⋅f5⋅f6 as multiples of several functions.
