Progress in Protective Coatings of Steel Structures

Abstract

The conventional paint system and the high performance coating system are both applied to prevent corrosion of steel structures at present. Properties of the both systems, the application, the influence of the corrosive environment, and the maintenance method of the protective coating are described to suggest the points of consideration in the selection of the paint system.
