Abstract
Corrosion problems of the parts of the large scale aircrafts have been become important in the maintenance of the materials performance. Several corrosion phenomena; pitting, stress corrosion cracking, grain intergranular corrosion and galvanic corrosion were discussed in relation with the special atmosphere, the effect of geometrical factor of the parts and the combination of the component materials. It is also shown how the materials are protected from corrosion attack whereas heavily coatings and the labour work in regular repair are seemed to cost much.
