Abstract
The area polarization method was applied to the corrosion monitoring of aluminum alloy 5052, which was galvanically coupled with tinplate. This was measured by changing the disolved oxygen <1-6, 000ppb in the 1, 000ppm NaCl solution. It was concluded that the possibility of pitting corrosion of the aluminum alloy 5052 becomes higher, under the condition of over 30-60ppb dissolved oxygen in the 1, 000ppm NaCl solution.
