Abstract
Rhizosphere microbiota play crucial roles in crop growth. Recent studies revealed that plant specialized metabolites secreted from roots shape the rhizosphere microbiota. We identified the function of α-tomatine in the rhizosphere as the enrichment of Sphingobium and shaping tomato rhizosphere microbiota. In this manuscript, we introduce a tight interaction between tomato and Sphingobium revealed by the analysis of multiple soil samples and microbiome data available in public database.
