Physiological Studies on the Effects of Silicic Acid upon Rice Plants. : II. Growth and inorganic nutrition of rice plants under insufficient supplies of silica.

Abstract

The absorption and the translocation of N, P₂O₅ and K₂O in the paddy rice plant of Non-Si plot in comparison with that of Si plot were analysed. Results obtained are shown in Fig. 1∼6. The quantities of the absorbed and translocated elements in the rice plant of Non-Si plot were smaller than these of Si plot. Especially, translocation of N and P₂O₅ to panicle from the other organs of the plant of Non-Si plot were little in quantitiy.
