Abstract
This investigation has been undertaken to learn the influence the influence of temperature on the germination of barley seeds. According to this investigation the minimum, optimum and maximum temperatures for the germination of barley seeds are as follows: [table] In the germination of barley seeds, as has already been known, the root is the first part of the seed to emerge from the seed-coat, while the plumule develops later. In this investigation it has been observed that the optimum temperature for the development of the plumule is 2°C higher than that for root.
