Advanced Magnetic Sensing System Utilizing SQUID

Abstract

Highly sensitive SQUID sensors made of low- and high-T_c superconducting materials have been developed. Utilizing these SQUID sensors, advanced magnetic sensing systems are being developed in many fields, including biomedical, geophysics, material analysis and precise measurement applications. In this article, we review the recent progress in these sensing systems, highlighting several topics developed in Japan.
