Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of surface treatment on the bond strength of fiber-reinforced CAD/CAM epoxy resin. The fiber-reinforced CAD/CAM epoxy resin specimens were prepared from three groups: UT group (control group), no surface pretreatment; SB group, sandblasting; and the SB-CB group, application of bonding agent after sandblasting. The shear bond strength was 18.8 ± 4.0 MPa in the SB-CB group and was significantly greater than the UT group and the SB group. Sandblasting and bonding agents containing silane coupling agents were effective for the surface treatment of fiber-reinforced CAD/CAM epoxy resins.
