DIFFUSATE MEDIA FOR CULTIVATION OF ORAL ANAEROBIC BACTERIA

Abstract

Antigen-free media suitable for cultivating anaerobic bacteria from the human gingival crevice were devised, based upon supplementing diffusates from standard media ingredients. Growth in these is at least as good as in customary media. Formulations suitable for the major species encountered are described and compared.
