This paper examines the factors behind the transition from non-regular employment to regular employment. The main results are as follows: The transition from non-regular to regular employment is more likely to occur, if the person starts their career as a regular employee; the use of Hello Work, a job service center, facilitates women’s transition to regular employment; and leaving the previous job after finding the current job allows for easier transition to regular employment. These results were also validated when the sample only included workers who started their careers as regular employees.
