The current study uses panel data to examine factors contributing toward the mental and physical health problems of workers. The key findings are summarized below. Working hours and vacations had an impact on workers' physical and mental health. However, if employed under a fixed-term contract, men showed greater behavioral responses, while women exhibited smaller psychological responses. Furthermore, psychological responses were smaller when the choice of workings days was given, and the non-psychological responses were greater when the choice of work location was provided.
