Resource control for frequency bandwidth and transmission power between beams is effective for Ka-band high-throughput satellites. It allocates resources efficiently in response to traffic per user and is robust against rainfall attenuation. We examine a method for improving frequency utilization efficiency, communication capacity, and performance for link number of users based on the adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) of DVB-S2/S2X under a resource control environment. We also examine a frequency channel assignment method to handle the change in signal bandwidth by ACM.
