We conducted an isolation experiment from mycangia of Platypus quercivora, emerged from Quercus mongolica var. grosseserrata. Seven fungal species, Raffaelea quercivora, Sporothrix sp. Ambrosiozyma sp., Fusarium sp., Ophiostoma cf stenoceras, Candida sp., and an unidentified species, were detected from them, and R. quercivora and an unidentified species were isolated at relatively high frequencies. The unindetified species was morphologically similar to other Raffaelea species, and its rDNA sequence data also showed the similarity with Raffaelea spp. Consequently, we could isolate two Raffaelea species from the mycangia of P. quercivora.
