Abstract
This report introduces the relationship between the dietary intakes of children and their families' financial situations from the 2015 National nutrition survey on preschool children, and examines the problems of health/nutrition among younger generation and the relation to Food System. In the 2015 National nutrition survey on preschool children, when families are in tight financial situations, their children tend to consume less fish, soybeans / soy products, vegetables and fruits ,and more confections (including pastries) and instant / cup noodles. The tendency of results for vegetables, fruits and instant / cup noodles was the same as previous study. Vegetables and fruits are major foods for extending Healthy Life Expectancy, but young people consume low amount of these. It is necessary to conduct more studies on the problems of health/nutrition among younger generation and Food System.
