Abstract
The acidic electrolyzed water (AEW) is known as an environmentally friendly material for the disease control in the greenhouse horticulture of strawberry. However the application technique of AEW has many cultural problems such as spraying method, spraying frequency and physiological disorder. In this experiment, therefore, we investigated the effects of slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAEW) volatilized by using forced-air volatilizing system on gray mold disease and powdery mildew of strawberry, especially at both the stages of vegetative growth and picking period.
As a result, the volatilized SAEW led the reduction of buoyant fungi in the air environment in green house. And also inhibited the symptom of gray mold disease and powdery mildew on attacked leaves and picking fruits of strawberry. On the other hand, the physiological disorder of chiorine did not occur in strawberry plant during experimental period. The volatilized SAEW retarded the lesion of fungus on fruits after picking.
From the results obtained here, we should be noted that the volatized SAEW treatment is very useful for control resource or proccedure of disease injury on the strawberry plants of growing period in a green house.
