On the Geochemical Studies of Hot Springs in Kofu City (No.2)

Abstract

The distribution charts of Cl^-, SO₄^--, Ca⁺⁺, Mg⁺⁺ and SiO₂ of hot springs in Kofu City are shown respectively, and the correlation between the geological structure and the chemical compositions of the hot springs is clarified. Then, the relation between the chemical compositions and temperatures of the hot springs and those of well waters in the City are shown. Besides, by ascertaining the depth and temperature etc. of the hot springs, it has been found that the layers of the hot water exist at the depth of 150200m under the ground.
