Abstract
The ozone density in the altitude range between 70 and 90km has been obtained from the twilight 1.27μm oxygen emission measured by using a rocket launched at Uchinoura, Japan (31°N). The observed density agrees well with the mid-latitude average between 70 and 75km. It also indicates a nearly constant value of -4×107cm-3 between 80 and 90km.
