Abstract
“A soil compaction method by injecting fluid sand” is a new liquefaction mitigation method of loose sandy grounds. Peripheral structures near construction site are influenced by the injection of fluid sand into the grounds. In order to appropriately evaluate this influence in numerical analysis, it is necessary to take the dilatancy/contractancy behavior accompanied with shear deformation of soil into account. In the present study, the process of injecting fluid sand was simulated under three-dimensional conditions by using the soil-water coupled finite deformation analysis code in which the SYS Cam-clay model is mounted. As a result, attenuation with distance both on the surface deformation around grounds and on the lateral pressure to peripheral structures can be evaluated.
