Nine species of bryophytes are discussed, five of which, viz., Chenia rhizophylla, Dolotortula mniifolia, Fissidens leptophyllus, Porotrichum lancifrons, and Sphaerothecium reconditum, are new to Brazil. Additional distributional data within Brazil are given for the remaining four species, viz., Luisierella barbula, Splachnobryum obtusum, and Tortula fragilis, and Odontolejeunea rhomalea.
