suggestion of educational method for skill acquisition for peeling by a kitchen knife by an elementary school home economics

among the schoolchild's mother and the
person who answered that my child could peel apple by a kitchen knife are a 5th
grader of elementary school according to an investigation of an elephant mark, 10.1%
andabout 24.6% at a 6th grader of elementary school.
about 24.6% at a 6th grader of elementary
school.

this was a result which falls below
"possible" 47.9% ( 5th grader l ) and 74.3% ( 6th grader) 20 years before substantially.

the mothers she "has not made"
send at home are 52.7% (  5th grader ) and 45.9% ( 6th grader). about 2 times more than 20 years before of this is1.5times( 5 years) and about 4.5 times ( 6th grader)  of increase.

this thing shows that it's necessary to
reconsider the state of the homemaking course which has left acquirement of a
cooking skill to practice at home.

 i had for my object to teach using the
educational method contrived by making reference to the preceding study and
inspect its effect so to make them acquire skills for leather by a kitchen
knife efficiently during an elementary school homemaking course session by this
research.

study method

board school investigated 3 targeted for
101 puples  (45 boys and 56 girls) 5th grader.
r esult and consideration

the person who has an experience for
peel any food  by 4th grader is about 60 percent. There was no difference between the
sexes.

the person 34 people "don't have a
confidence at all" for the person who "has 8 "quite sure"
persons a little" for leather is 31. There were a lot of persons with the
female one a little about a confidence

 the 1st time of class (34 puples), then
it'll have 1/4 pears, it was done for leather. When 28 people who have
confidence made leather face freely, it was 4 "It was done." 6 people
who don't have a confidence used developed educational method, so all
"were made".

i taught by the educational method
developed targeted for all the members the after 2nd time.

a result and all the members, one for
leather, it was in the "possible" state. But, the person to whom how
to have it a kitchen knife isn't appropriate was observed in the 2nd time of
class. So how to have it a kitchen knife was carried without exception for all
the members in the 3rd time of class.

as a result, all the members were able to
peel skin for 5 minutes early in the 3rd time of class than the 2nd time. a nd it
was also possible to increase a confidence for leather.
