Abstract

Clo value is essential to assess the thermal environment. In this report, in order to make it possible to measure the clo value in various postures, it is studied the measurement method using by the human body. In a former investigation, it was shown that a clo value of the “constant temperature control” was different from a “constant heat flow control” in the measurement with the thermal mannequin. Human body reaction is similar to “constant heat flow control”-type thermal mannequin. In order to improve the clo value measurement method using the human body, clo value of clothing by thermal mannequin which changed their control methods were measured and relational expressions of thermal insulation of clothes measured by different control methods were shown. In this study, the thermal mannequin of the clothes for the woman which brought the surface temperature and heat flow from the skin close to the human body showed that clo value were different for each control method
