Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate the existing conditions of Mise-zukuri in southern Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. In 2021 and 2022, field surveys were conducted in Tomoura and Shishikui, Kaiyo Town, and Yuki, Minami Town. As the result of the field surveys, 46 Mise-zukuri houses were confirmed in the survey areas. Compared to the results of field surveys in 1986 and 1993, the percentage of Mise-zukuri houses still existing was found to be 25%.
