The critical path for regional cooperation in cancer care plays an important role in smooth regional medical cooperation in cancer care. Five major cancer paths are in operation at Toyota Memorial Hospital, but with the increase in the number of applicable patients, problems such as explanations to patients and interactions with coordinating doctors were observed.
This time, we will create a map that can be used when selecting a collaborating doctor, rule out the information sharing procedure when another disease occurs during follow-up, and remind the collaborating doctor after applying the cooperation path. We also worked on simplifying procedures. Focusing on hospital requests and concerns of collaborating doctors, we added and revised documents. As a result, we were able to streamline the work involved and the anxiety of the collaborating doctor was reduced. It is important to efficiently operate the cancer regional alliances path for the increasing number of cancer patients, and continuous improvement activities are necessary.
