Abstract

NMR based metabolic profiling is powerful and useful tool for evaluating phenotypes as whole metabolite 1D NMR spectrum using biofluids. We tested this method on newborn infants' urine samples including normal and urine diseases. NMR data were directly processed by developing version of Alice2 for Metabolome program package (JEOL Datum). PCA and SIMCA(Soft Independent Modeling of Class Analogy) method clearly discriminated disease samples from healthy. Additionally, we found the potential to evaluate remission status in treated babies by this method.
