Abstract

Because of the decline of the country′s ability to finance new construction and the difficulty of allocating new investment, maintenance and preservation are being done to increase the life span of some existing foundation structures. there is a need to verify the position and type of the foundation structure before soundness investigation can be done. This paper discussed the purpose of determining the location of the foundation and its type using the geophysical investigation methods such as, Refraction method, Reflection method, Seismic tomography.
