An experiment of transportation improvement for cement mixed dredging

Abstract

In the case of transporting cement mixed drdging through pipeline, the cohesion of the treated soil results in a great resistance against conveying pressure. The present experiment is aimed to improve the transportation ability by lining the steel pile with polymer material inside. It is found that the lining method can decrease the conveying resistace by 30% for the treated soil with relative small cohesion, and by 70% for that with relative large cohesion.
