Abstract
We herein report a case of laryngeal trauma. The patient visited our hospital the day after sustaining an injury. We recommended reducing the fracture of the thyroid cartilage promptly, but the patient refused the treatment. Eight months after the injury, the patient hoped to improve his voice quality. We therefore refractured the thyroid cartilage, widened the fracture line and fixed it using a titanium plate. His voice improved after surgery. It is very difficult to treat old trauma, so it is very important to treat such injuries as quickly as possible.
