Abstract
A 8 year-old girl suffering from the recurrent occurrences of respiratory infections and the persistent bilateral otitis media was presented.
Following the immunological examinations, she was found the “Antibody deficiency syndrome” and then the bilateral radical mastoidectomy was performed.
After the left radical mastoidectomy, though she had gotten very well as far as left ear concerned, her pulmonary and meningeal signs had still exacerbated repeatedly.
So, the right radical mastoidectomy was designed and performed.
Her bilateral ear discharge and pulmonary and meningeal signs improved conspicuously.
It was emphasized that the suitable surgical procedure for the chronic focus of infection was necessory as well as the antibiotics and the γ-globulin injection for the treatment of the “Antibody deficiency syndrome”.
