Abstract
Observations of the uvulas were made both morphologically and functionally, and the uvulas were classified into three types ; normal, sub-normal and abnormal.
Most of the idiopathic uvulitis were in Type III of the abnormal type and most patients who had essential stertor were in the sub-normal type.
Good results in treating stertor were obtained by injecting paraffin into the uvula.
