Abstract
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma studied in 57 cases is reported. The male-to-female ratio was 1.04:1. Age distribution showed 2 peaks of case number in the 40s and 60s. The most common primary lesion was the WALDEYER's ring. In stages II, III and IV, invasion to abdominal lymph nodes was the most frequent.
According to the classification by the Lymphoma Study Group, 6 cases were of follicular lymphoma (medium-sized cell type 3, large 3) and 51 of diffuse lymphoma (small 13, medium-sized 15, large 23). The 5-year survival rate was 64% in follicular lymphoma and 51% in diffuse lymphoma.
