Abstract
Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), the specific protein of the astrocytes, was investigated in the two infant cases of the nasal glioma using immunohistochemical (ABC) technique for the further confirmation of the diagnosis. In both cases, the immunoperoxidase reaction for GFAP was positive in the many cells of the mass lesion. These positive reaction shows typical fibrillary process pattern and indicates the masses were of neuronal origin. In conclusion, immunohistochemical investigation of GFAP was very significant to confirm the diagnosis of the nasal glioma.
