Abstract
Recent advances in hearing aid technology have encouraged persons with impaired hearing. Many hearing aid users and candidates, however, have often experienced various annoyances associated with hearing aids obtained through unscrupulous hearing aid sales people. The clinic for potential hearing aid candidates of Kyushu University Hospital have afforded them counsel and the opportunity of fitting the hearing aid. For reasons of patient protection, we stressed here that hearing aid fitting and despensing should be done under the consultation of the otorhinolaryngologist.
