Abstract
A case of adenosquamous carcinoma of the hypopharynx is reported. Adenosquamous carcinoma of the head and neck, especially in the pharynx, is very rare. A 49-year-old man who had adenosquamous carcinoma originating in the hypopharynx was treated with radical surgery. The prognosis is extremely poor and similar to that Of undifferentiated carcinoma. However, in the interest of life prolongation, radical surgery in the early stages is advised.
