Abstract
The author recommended a new classification of tinnitus aurium classified by the audiogram of associating deafness. In this study, the diagnosis of the tinnitus was made according to the data of pure tone audiometry and was clasiified into the following types : 1) Tinnitus, of which audiogram was normal, was called "Non-Deafness Tinni- tus ". 2) Tinnitus, of which audiogram indicated some hearing loss of conductive nature, was called " Conductive Tinnitus ". 3) Tinnitus, Complicated with perceptive or mixed deafness, was recognized as " Perceptive Tinnitus " or " Mixed Tinnitus ". 4) Perceptive tinnitus was further classified into "Labyrinthine or Retrolabyrinthi- ne Tinnitus " according to the rates of the D. L. T. The author has mentioned some clinical significanse of these type. of tinnitus.
