Abstract
Applying the galvanic stimulation on the ears of rabbits and guinea pigs, the author has investigated the pathological changes of the auditory nerve in central course. The results are as follows:
The remarkable change almost appears in the nerve cells, and it is characterized with the shrinkage or the swell of cell bodies and the destruction of Nissl's granule. The pathological change of nerve cells is localized in the nucleus dorsalis and ventralis in the rabbits, but in the guinea pigs it extend over the nucleus vestibularis and so on.
