Abstract
In the nose and parasinus regions, the computed tomography (CT) has been more appreciated to detect the tumor invasion and its extent in the soft tissue than the conventional radiological examination.
But, the axial tomography only has the limitation to evaluate the coronal and the lateral extents of the tumor due to the partial volume effect.
For this problem, the biplane CT, i. e. the axial CT combined with the coronal CT, was developed to improve the evaluation of tumor extent by 3-dimentional analysis.
The contrast enhancement technique was done to evaluate the vascularity of tumor and also to differentiate for benign and malignant.
The significant result could not be obtained by the evaluation of CT value in this study because of small number of cases.
