Abstract
A man, aged 43, complained of jumbling of objects (Dandy's symptom) after meningitis were reported. He had had a blurred vision during his head and/or body movements, but had no trouble whenever he sat still with straightly look or with his eyes closed. Bilateral complete loss of vestibular functions and moderate hearing impairments were recognized by the neurotological examinations. In the opto-vestibular nystagmus test with a sinusoidal pendular rotation in optokinetic drum, his optovestibular nystagmus gain was recorded in significantly low value accompanying experience of Dandy's symptom, and was gradually recovery with release of the symptom after the two months. Therefore, these recordings suggest that the Dandy's symptom may be considered as a deficiency of the eye-head coordination due to dead labyrinth.
