Abstract
Since the early stage of this century, nemerous efforts have been made and reports presented in order to delineate the otolith function clearly by means of many testing methods. The author wished to survey them bibliotically and classified them into three categories, i. e., i) the swing method, ii) the tilting method, and iii) the measurement of the counter ocular rolling (COR). Some controversial points are discussed on the basis of the author's experience.
