Abstract
The patient was a 33-year-old female in the 21st week of pregnancy. Measles was diagnosed because of a typical rash and increased anti-measles antibody in her serum. Acute symptoms of tinnitus, rotatory vertigo and bilateral sensorineural hearing loss developed soon after the appearance of the rash.
The sensorineural hearing loss began to improve spontaneously in several days. Audiological tests showed that hearing impairment was caused by inner ear damage. Pregnancy and measles were considered to play an important role in inducing inner ear damage.
