Abstract
Two cases of pseudotumor in the orbit are reported. One was a 77-year-old male who complained of right exophthalmus. In CT-scan, a homogeneous mass was observed in his orbit. Although he was treated with steroid hormone, the mass did not decreased. However, the exophthalmus was slightly reduced.
The other one was a 79-year-old female who complained of the exophthalmus and pain of the right eye-ball. Histological examination of the tumor in the orbit showed hypertrophy of lymphoid tissue. After treatment with steroid hormone, the exophthalmus was reduced. We concluded that the steroid hormone might be a better choice for the treatment of the pseudotumor in the orbit, even though the tumor involves hypertrophy of lymphoid tissue.
