Abstract

Kanebo Saireito Extract fine granules (EK-114) was administered to 43 patients (total 56 ears) with otitis media with effusion per os. Moderate effects were observed in 80.0% of the patients and general improvement in 82.5%. Since no side effects were noted, such a small dosage was considered fairly safe. Saireito was recognized as an effective medicine for otitis media with effusion.
